Robber wants to sue the man who stopped him

There seems to be a trend with criminals attempting to sue, or getting angry at the people who stop them. Here’s another idiotic would be robber who allegedly wants to sue the man who stopped him at a Starbucks.

The criminal, Ryan Flores was apparently attempting to rob the Starbucks with a “toy” gun, but he also had a very real knife. The good Samaritan, Cregg Jerri approached him and bopped the guy in the back of the head with a chair. He hit him in a way that the ridiculous transformers mask he was wearing came right off! He then proceeded to wrestle with the perpetrator. He actually got stabbed on the neck as is visible in the video, yet he managed to wrestle away the knife from Flores. He then proceeded to stab him 17 times as they struggled.

Now Flores wants to sue him because he used “excessive force.” I don’t know about you guys, but if you just attempted armed robbery, and I am the guy who stopped you, I’m not going to give you the chance to kill me. If you continue fighting me, as appears to be the case in the video, I’m going to do whatever I have to in order to protect myself and subdue you.

Flores’ mom and dad both seem to take issue with Jerri stabbing their son so many times. However, that dude was still fighting, had he gotten the knife, odds are he’d do the same to Jerri. When it comes down to you or me, I’m always gonna favor me, as apparently Jerri did.

Now, I think his approach was stupid, and he could have gotten shot or stabbed to death if the opponent was even slightly formidable with any weapons. However, he got very lucky this time.

I was wondering why no one else in the restaurant came to aid him in saving their asses. They could have easily restrained his arms, and maybe no one would be seriously hurt. However, absent that, you have to do what you have to do.

I hope that any judge who receives this case would throw it out with a huge laugh! But if it goes to trial, I hope the jury then laughs in Flores’ face. I can’t imagine anyone having sympathy for, or taking the side of a criminal who not only tried to rob the place, but was also very willing to hurt the guy who tried to stop him.

The parents are stupid, but they aren’t the first or the last…
