Scivation Xtend BCAA

When it comes to supplements, I’ve always been a bit distrusting and suspicious of companies. Supplement companies are not regulated the way the drug companies are, but then again, who’s really regulating the drug companies? It comes down to money and special interests with them anyway. So who do you trust? Me, I trust no one. That being said, there are some reputable companies out there that I favor. Also some products that I think are worth trying. Branch Chain Amino Acids “BCAAs” are some of the ones that I take.

Enter Scivation Xtend BCAA product. I first discovered this drink after teaching my strength class at Retro Fitness. I was on my way to take a HIIT and Zumba class right after and I wanted to replenish. I tried this product out and I was in love. First of all let me say that so far, my favorite flavor is green apple. I mean, when I tried this I was hooked, hooked, hooked! It’s so damn good! I’ve tried the Grape, Mango, Strawberry, and they are all pretty good, but so far, Green Apple is the king. I just ordered a variety pack to try some other flavors out as well.

This product contains the amino acids L-Leucine, L-Glutamine, L-IsoLeucine, L-Valine as well as some other components listed in the image below. I was doing reading on each of the amino acids listed, to share some more scientific information with you guys, but there’s way too much info out there, you can look it up yourself if you want to go that deep into it.

Basically, these are essential amino acids and they allegedly help you recover, build muscle, and train harder. I’ve been taken them for a while, and I feel great. Whether or not this has helped is up for speculation, because we never truly know when we take these types of supplements, vitamins, etc. It’s not noticeable in the way that taking caffeine is, where you feel an immediate jolt of energy. But I seem to recover pretty damn quick, and my blood work, etc all came back great. So at least I know the product is not harming me. If anything, worst case scenario, I’m drinking a pricey sugar free juice drink. LOL.

Seriously speaking though, some fitness professionals state that by taking a protein shake, you are covering your BCAA needs. I’m not entirely sure about that, and I’ve always favored BCAAs. Here’s the bottom line folks, if you are going to take a BCAA supplement, why not take one that tastes really freaking good, and seems to do the job? If you are not taking any, then don’t, but if you are taking BCAAs, you gotta try Xtend by Scivation.

I’ve brought some in for people to try at the gym, and they are immediately sold. I’ve actually created customers for this company, they should hook me up with some sort of sponsorship, or a shirt or something. I’m legit promoting their stuff at several gym chains! But, that’s only because I think they are really good!

Let us know if you have tried them out, and what you think!
