Son of Batman Review: A DC Animated Film Worth Watching

I’ve never been a big DC fan. That’s not because I don’t like them, I simply was never exposed to them. I’ve always been exposed to Marvel comics, toys, and films. Lately, though, I have been watching more of the animations, films, and learning about the characters. Batman, for instance, earned my respect during the film War. I had never really watched the Justice League until then, and they definitely earned a new fan after that film.

When I saw “Son of Batman,” I figured I had to watch it. Again, I came to this film completely unaware of what to expect, but it was very entertaining. We met a new villain who reminded me a lot of Deadpool with a similar outfit and a similar name: Deathstroke. Coincidence? You decide! I just enjoyed the film.

Basically, the League of Assassins is training when they are attacked by some foes. Madness ensues, and Batman finds out he has a son, which leads to some babysitting duties. That’s pretty entertaining to watch. I don’t want to add any spoilers, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. I’m not traditionally a DC or Batman fan at all. In fact, I often questioned why he’s compared to Superman, since he’s a regular human. However, he has earned my respect, and the animated films are very entertaining. So far, they are two for two! Adding Damian (his son) to the mix makes things even more fun. Pick up the film and check it out!
