Stopped By Police? Dial 911.

I read a post today which offered this advice. It made a lot of sense to me.

If you are stopped by police, and you are unsure of what you did wrong, then dial 911 as you are pulling over. This will create a record of the interaction, and in most cases hopefully ensure a smoother interaction. Do this at your own risk, but I think that it increases the odds that an officer will behave favorably if they know they are being listened to by a 911 operator.

This may offend some officers, and YOU have to be prepared to deal with the consequences of that. This is not legal or expert advice, I’m a regular dude! This is merely a tip someone shared. The original poster claims that he applied this and that it worked for him. He stated that an officer pulled him over, and that he was being difficult. However, once the officer realized he was on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, apparently his entire demeanor changed for the better.

I thought I’d share this with my readers in hopes that it would make you safer should you run into one of the rotten apples in law enforcement.

Again, this is not legal or expert advice. Just saying!
