Stowaway Netflix Review

This film is another space film that pretty much exclusively takes place in the ship. It is quite interesting to me how a good film could basically be in one setting, with 4 people, and still be quite good. I don’t know that I’d equate this with a “Sunshine,” or “Interstellar,” but it’s a pretty good film.

Unlike those aforementioned films, these guys are not necessarily trying to save the earth, but are working toward making Mars livable. Presumably due to problems on Earth, or because of overpopulation? They never really say why this mission is happening.

So they take off for a two year trip into space, and somehow, this guy gets forgotten and is stowed away on the spaceship. Now when it comes to space travel, they measure everything down to the gram, as is illustrated by a comment about a Yale mug that one of the astronauts brings aboard. So a full human being, well, that certainly was not accounted for in food, oxygen, fuel, and so on. Not to mention that my man breaks some stuff by accident once discovered.

From that point on, things go all the way wacky. Every failure that can befall them, befalls them. It leads us all way to the end where who knows what will happen? This movie is worth a watch, it is pretty good all around. Check it out! Once you’ve seen it, tell us what you would have done if you were in their situation?
