In high school, we didn’t have lockers as such. Growing up in the Bronx hood, carrying a coat around all day in school was a hassle I wanted to avoid. I didn’t like the idea of lugging around extra weight or dealing with the bulkiness of a heavy coat. Instead, I used to wear a very thin windbreaker and shove it in my backpack during school time. This way, I could stay warm during my commute and keep my hands free and my load light during classes. It was a simple solution that made navigating the challenges of school life in the Bronx a little bit easier.
Just a life long New Yorker sharing the journey through my lens. Please take note of a post’s date. The views I express here are subject to change and evolving as I grow and learn.
