I remember the first time my wife and I saw Sylvia Woods’ face on a product at a local supermarket. Being playful, I mimicked her pose and exclaimed, “SYLVIA!”
After looking her up online, we discovered that she had a restaurant here in Harlem. We agreed that we must visit one day to enjoy her cooking and hopefully meet her. Although we never made it, I still hope to take my wife there and honor her legacy.
