This is an older film from back when The Rock was a bit smaller and still had hair! It tells the story of a famous football player who unexpectedly discovers he has a daughter he never knew about. From there, the movie dives into the funny moments that happen when a tough guy has to deal with a little kid. It has a similar feel to those classic Arnold Schwarzenegger and Hulk Hogan movies where you see these big action stars in humorous, family-oriented situations—think tutus and tea parties.
The story itself is really sweet, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though it’s an older film, it doesn’t feel dated at all. You can watch it today and still enjoy it as if it just came out. Sure, it includes some familiar clichés and is pretty predictable, but that doesn’t take away from its charm. It’s a heartwarming movie that delivers exactly what you’d expect, and sometimes that’s all you need. If you haven’t seen it yet, I definitely recommend giving it a watch!
