The Weight of Personal Standards

Gym alone

I’ve spoken about people trying to push being overweight as healthy and acceptable. I don’t agree with that perspective myself, but I don’t crap or criticize those who do. There are some mean people thinking they can tell others how they actually really feel about their own body and that is not cool. Do you and let them do them. You don’t know how they personally feel.

I wish I didn’t carry this constant drive to stay in shape. It’s something I’ve lived with my whole life, and I’ve made peace with it for myself. But if there are people who feel good about how they look and aren’t concerned with fitness, who am I to judge them? They get to feel free. I don’t. This is my reality. My world. I live it, but I keep it to myself. That’s the difference between having a personal standard and imposing one on others.
