We often address media coverage and how it handles racial issues, and we believe in calling things exactly as they are, regardless of the circumstances.

On that note, take a look at this incident where an older man tells a woman to “go to the back of the bus.” It’s a troubling example of behavior that has no place in our society. What stands out is the composure shown by the other passengers during a clearly uncomfortable situation. Every person, in every setting, deserves to be treated with basic dignity and respect. That standard should never be up for debate.
