Why I Left Comixology: Subscription Limits and Hidden Costs Explained

When I started reading comics, I began with Comixology and was paying for a subscription. I loved the app and the panel view they have, which is great for reading on mobile.

The reason I left the app and canceled my subscription is that they don’t offer the entire comic book series as part of the subscription. So, you’re paying for a subscription, you read volume one, and then there’s an additional cost to get volume two and finish the series.

That was frustrating to me. Even though we’re paying a subscription price, continuing a series might require an extra purchase. I’m not sure how the licensing agreements work, but from a customer perspective, this can be disappointing.

That was the deciding factor for me, and it is why I canceled my subscription with them. Otherwise, I’d still be with them. It seems like they might need to adjust their pricing model or work out different arrangements with the comic creators.
