When I started reading comics, I began with Comixology and was paying for a subscription. I loved the app and the panel view they have, which is great for reading on mobile.
The reason I left the app and canceled my subscription is that they don’t give you the entire comic book series. So, you’re paying for a subscription, you read volume one, and then they want you to pay extra to get volume two and finish reading the series.
That is such bullshit. We are already paying a subscription price, and then, on top of that, they get us invested in a comic, really interested, and then slap us in the face with another additional cost to continue reading it? I don’t know how comics do their licensing or whatever, but that business practice is insulting and completely trash.
That was a deal-breaker for me, and it is why I canceled my subscription with them. Otherwise, I’d still be with them. They got too greedy, or they need to work out a better deal with the comic creators.
