Why I quit World War Armies

I used to play this game for hours on end, and I absolutely loved it. Lately, though, I’ve found myself playing less and less, and it’s frustrating. One of the biggest issues is how the game doesn’t honor map requests. If I choose Coastline, why do I keep getting thrown into other maps so often? I don’t want to play on those! I enjoy the one-point map. Why not create more one-point maps? From a coding standpoint, it should be simple. Just take a bigger map and reduce it to a single point.

They’ve explained that it’s about matching opponents and avoiding timeouts, but here’s the thing: I always quit the other maps. This really messes with my status and kills my path to victory. It’s discouraging because all the effort I put into winning just gets wiped out when I have to quit a match. And don’t even get me started on how I can’t just quit using “escape” anymore—I have to fully shut down the app just to get out of the map. That is beyond annoying.

Why give us the option to select maps if you’re not going to honor it? Just keep us in the queue until someone with the same map preference comes along. It’s such a simple request, but it keeps going unresolved. If no one is ready, no problem—just let us reconnect and try again. But forcing us into maps we don’t want to play only hurts our stats and demotes us when we quit. It’s really killing the fun and makes me not want to play as much anymore.

These are major issues I have with the game, but unfortunately, they aren’t the only ones. Lately, there’s been another problem where the game abruptly ends near the end of a match. Imagine spending all that time and effort holding off an opponent, only for the match to cut out just as you’re about to win. It’s incredibly frustrating. Some people have suggested that it might be a hack, but even if that’s the case, the developers should fix the glitch. It’s not fair to have matches end like that.

Another thing that really bothers me is how they don’t provide you with the basic cards you need to play. It feels like they’re pushing you to pay to access the cards you need just to be competitive. For example, I’ve been playing for months and earned dozens of cards, but I’ve never once earned a machine gun card—which is essential to stay competitive. It’s like they’re deliberately withholding crucial cards unless you pay up.

Honestly, I could go on listing other things that have irked me about the game, but at this point, I haven’t played in months. I don’t see myself returning anytime soon unless they address these really annoying issues. It’s a shame because it was a game I really enjoyed, but all these problems have just taken the fun out of it.
