I used to play this game for hours on end, and I absolutely loved it. Lately, though, I’ve found myself playing less and less, and it’s frustrating. One of the biggest issues is how the game doesn’t honor map requests. If I choose Coastline, why do I keep getting thrown into other maps so often? I don’t want to play on those! I enjoy the one-point map. Why not create more one-point maps? From a coding standpoint, it should be simple. Just take a bigger map and reduce it to a single point.
They’ve explained that it’s about matching opponents and avoiding timeouts, but here’s the thing: I always quit the other maps. This really affects my status and slows down my progress. It’s discouraging because all the effort I put into winning just gets wiped out when I have to quit a match. Also, I can’t just quit using “escape” anymore and have to fully shut down the app just to get out of the map. That is quite inconvenient.
Why give us the option to select maps if it’s not going to be honored? It would be better to keep us in the queue until someone with the same map preference comes along. If no one is ready, no problem, just let us reconnect and try again. Forcing us into maps we don’t want to play only hurts our stats when we quit, which reduces the enjoyment and makes me less inclined to play.
There are other issues as well. Recently, the game sometimes ends abruptly near the end of a match. Imagine spending all that time holding off an opponent, only for the match to cut out just as you’re about to win. It’s very frustrating. Some have suggested it might be a hack, but regardless, this is a glitch that should be addressed to ensure fair gameplay.
Another concern is the availability of basic cards needed to play competitively. It feels like important cards are hard to earn unless you pay. For example, I’ve been playing for months and earned many cards, but I’ve yet to get a machine gun card, which is important to stay competitive. It seems restrictive.
I could list more issues, but at this point, I haven’t played in months. I don’t see myself returning anytime soon unless these key problems are addressed. It’s unfortunate because it was a game I really enjoyed, but these challenges have reduced the fun for me.
