Urbanspoon Blog – Boon Chu Thai Place

[rating:4]

Boon Chu on Urbanspoon

This place was tiny, can only sit a few people at a time. Definitely not the spot if you have a large group. But cool if it’s 2 people or whatnot.

I ate dinner with a friend here last night, my treat, between the two of us, including our drinks, meals and appetizers I paid $34. The price is right, I’ve spent more on 1 dish for myself in other places. I fed 2 people here, for less.  She chose the place, I’d say it’s a good spot.

Surprisingly the food was pretty good. Usually I feel these cheaper places don’t deliver on food quality. My fish was delicious, I wasn’t too crazy about the thai sausage, a bit too salty and spicy for my taste, but it was good nonetheless. My friend had some noodles and I tried them, pretty good as well. We also had a coconut sorbet, that was pretty good.

The service was ok, typical of the area. I liked the place and I will definitely visit again.

Note: The bathroom is through the kitchen and tiny, so probably not the best if you have to do anything besides peeing, if you do, they gonna hear it dogs, they gonna hear EVERYTHANG!!!
