Authentic Cuban Food and Big Portions at El Sitio Queens

El Sitio on Urbanspoon

I have been dining at El Sitio for years, ever since I moved to Woodside. Even though I no longer live nearby, I still visit occasionally.

The croquettes served while you wait are delicious, and the garlic bread is excellent. That is before the main course even arrives.

I usually order the ropa vieja with moro rice, which is very satisfying. For sides, I typically go with yuca and sweet plantains. The portions are generous and full of flavor.

My fiancée often orders the pork chops with yellow rice and beans, and she enjoys them a great deal. Sometimes she tries el cubano, a Cuban sandwich, along with various appetizers.

They also offer batidas, shake-like drinks available in a variety of tropical flavors, which complement the meal nicely.

I recommend checking out El Sitio. The prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes and overall quality of the food.

I really enjoy dining at El Sitio.
