Our former Mayor, David Dinkins has just had the municipal building named after him. The building was chosen because he worked there as a clerk for many years.
Dinkins who is now 87 years of age, was the first black Mayor of New York City. I didn’t know much about politics back then, but I remember appreciating that he was black. It showed some form of diversity in power.
Congratulations to the former Mayor on the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building.
Just a life long New Yorker sharing the journey through my lens. Please take note of a post’s date. The views I express here are subject to change and evolving as I grow and learn.
