Urbanspoon Blog – Ninth Ward

This place was crowded and tight. That was my first impression.
I think the ambiance was ok, but I couldn’t take it in because I was constantly moving out of the way so that people could pass. It was really annoying.Â
Eventually I parked myself outside the bathroom to seek some comfort from the crowds. I had to tell everyone I wasn’t in line waiting for the bathroom, then I proceeded to engage them in awkward drunken pre-toilet conversation.
My drink of choice, a screwdriver was “ok”, ONCE I RECEIVED IT! Yes, myself and a fellow Yelper stood by the bar for over 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged let alone received my drink. That was also quite annoying.
I think the place is ok, and once it emptied out (Happy Hour was over) then it was more comfortable. But we left for another place and unless someone plans something worthwhile I doubt I would ever return here.
