La Pulperia

Me, my momma bear and my sister picked a place for dinner at random. Mom wanted Spanish food so I checked around and decided to go with La Pulperia.

So first of all, let me tell you guys, the food here was okay. It wasn’t mind blowing, but it wasn’t bad. The problem that I have with this place is that in my opinion, the food was way overpriced for the taste, quality, presentation, etc. Again, I don’t want you guys to misunderstand me, the food was good, but it wasn’t worth the price tab in my opinion. My family seemed to agree.

This is the type of price tab that one expects to see when they go to a Chef Ramsey restaurant, or a Morimoto for a special occasion or whatnot. This is not the cost of a meal at a random place we picked for an impromptu dinner in the city.

Anyway, this mac and cheese with spinach appetizer was pretty good. The main dishes were okay, hit or miss really. My mom had a pulpo dish and that was rather disappointing.

I feel a bit bad because it is not my intent to bad mouth these guys. But as an honest blogger, it is my duty to put on your radar that the bill here can go up really fast. If you are aware of that, and have money like that, then totally give it a go.
