One time I held the elevator for these two men, as my arm was out, I noticed that they were walking very, very slowly. They then entered the elevator, didn’t even give me a second glance, and pressed their floor.
People, I don’t do things expecting praise, but I sure as hell ain’t your servant either? Feel me? The way these dudes were conducting themselves, it was as if they expected and deserved this. Granted, I gathered from their conversation that they are getting treatment for, eh, substance abuse. So perhaps we can pull a Jamie Foxx and blame it on the alcohol?
Either way, here is how this goes down henceforth, next time I see either of these two guys, if I am in the elevator, I will be pressing the close button as soon as I walk in. They can then slow walk their butts to the button, press it themselves, then wait the 5 minutes for the elevator while acting like some sort of entitled, pompous jerks!
Simple, common courtesy goes a long way my friends! So how does that sound? GOOD MORNING NEW YORK CITY!
Just a life long New Yorker sharing the journey through my lens. Please take note of a post’s date. The views I express here are subject to change and evolving as I grow and learn.
