Alex Rider IMDB Original Series

First of all, who the hell knew that IMDB was now in the original series game? I’d seen this show listed on my front page a few times, but to be honest, I never paid mind to it. I already have Jack Ryan and a few other series that meet my need for youngish dudes doing CIAish (MI6 in this case) stuff. However, the lady wanted to check it out and it did raise my curiosity as well.

So what’s the verdict? I tell you, I was rather surprised but not really. I mean these apple, netflix, amazon and whomever original series are all pretty high quality stuff. Since they all come from similar production houses I’m not entirely surprised that this show was pretty good. But IMDB? Who knew!

The story comes from a book, and based on my bit of research, the story is slightly different, but that’s usually the case isn’t it? I don’t want to give away anything from the plot, but it s a good watch. It’s sort of a spy like show with agents, murder, deception, suspense and it will have you on the edge of your seats in suspense. Alex is a high school kid who gets pulled into the life of spy? Why and how? You’ll have to watch for that answer.

I will say that my first IMDB original series was really good. They do have commercials, but not many and it is absolutely bearable. I always say, at least try and watch one episode, then see how it goes. We watched one and we were hooked. Alex Rider is a big winner. I look forward to season two and now I also want to read the books.
