I think Carl Hiaasen is my favorite writer. I have all of his books and have even read ‘Sick Puppy’ twice. I never read anything twice, and that’s a hefty book too.

Hiaasen’s latest book introduces us to a new character, an animal wrangler named Angie Armstrong. She prefers khakis to more casual clothing and the Everglades to fancy events. She finds herself involved in a complicated situation involving the former president, a bunch of snakes, murder cover-ups, and a few other surprises that I don’t want to spoil.

If you’re a fan of Hiaasen’s work up to this point, I think you’ll enjoy this book. Once again, Carl Hiaasen delivers a story set in Florida that hits a home run.
