I think Carl Hiaasen is my favorite writer. I have all of his books and have even read ‘Sick Puppy’ twice. I never read anything twice, and that’s a hefty book too.
Hiaasen’s latest book introduces us to a new character, an animal wrangler named Angie Armstrong. She’s not your typical woman; she prefers khakis to booty shorts and the Everglades to fancy events. Yet, she gets pulled into a terrible mess involving the former president, a bunch of snakes, murder cover-ups, and a few other surprises that I don’t want to spoil.
If you’re a fan of Hiaasen’s work up to this point, I guarantee that you’ll enjoy this book. Once again, Carl Hiaasen has hit a home run for the state of Florida.
