Okay, if you got up to here, then you know that Mai nominated Ashley to be eliminated in the dice game. After that, everyone turned on Mai because she didn’t follow the “nominate yourself rule.”
However, it seems a bit unfair, considering Trey was eliminated because Ashley didn’t move and jumped in front of him during the squares bridge game. She didn’t move as planned, which forced Trey to jump twice and led to his loss.
What’s confusing is that Mai struggled to explain her actions clearly. She said, “I’m sorry my perception must have been wrong. I apologize.” But given that Ashley didn’t jump for Trey as agreed, it’s understandable why Mai acted the way she did.
Everyone also turned on Mai after that. So did no one remember that Trey kept looking back because Ashley didn’t jump in front of him as planned?
Anyway, it was pretty impressive that even after all this, Mai won the whole game. That move ended up paying off despite the drama involving Ashley and the others.
That said, Mai probably could have spoken up then and there: “I am nominating Ashley because she caused Trey to be eliminated by not jumping when she was supposed to.” She did jump eventually, but not after Trey as originally agreed. So I can see why Trey was eliminated and why Mai won.
It was a bit sad to see some of the kinder players lose, but the ending was satisfying, especially given the controversy around Ashley and Mai.
