Squid Game, Ashley and Mai

Spoiler alert. You’ve been warned.

Okay, if you got up to here, then you know that Mai nominated Ashley to be eliminated on the dice game. After that, everyone turned on Mai because she didn’t honor the “nominate yourself rule.”

However, this is total bullshit, because Trey was eliminated due to Ashley not coming up and jumping in front of him on the squares bridge game. Did everyone all of a sudden forget about that? This woman refused to move, forcing to Trey to jump twice and therefore he lost.

What is even more mind boggling is that Mai couldn’t get the words out to clearly explain to these people why she did what she did. “I’m sorry my perception must have been wrong. I apologize.” WTF? Don’t fucking apologize! No, she didn’t fucking jump for Trey and that was fucked up.

Everyone who was there also turned on Mai after that. So they all “forgot about Trey?” (See what I did there?) No one remembers that he kept looking back, and she wouldn’t come and jump in front of him as was agreed?

Anyway, how fucking awesome was it that even after all that bullshit, Mai won the whole fucking game? Eat that Ashley, and everyone else who was trying to fuck her over this move she made.

That said, Mai should have spoken up then and there, “I am nominating Ashley because she got Trey eliminated by not jumping when she was supposed to.” She did jump eventually, but not after Trey which was the original agreement. So I’m glad she got eliminated and I’m glad Mai won.

It did suck to see a few of the other nicer people lose, but the end was satisfying particularly due to this bullshit around Ashley and Mai.
