Sadly, I can’t remember too much of what has happened in my past. It really is unfortunate, and I wish there was a way I could recall more.
I’m in the process of auditioning for my third job as an instructor, and it is at NYSC. As I thought about the upcoming NYSC audition tomorrow (they have gyms in Forest Hills), for some reason, I recalled going to a Blockbuster in Forest Hills. At the time, my girlfriend lived in the area, and we’d go pick out some movies to watch over the weekend.
I find it fascinating, given the way the world is today, with Netflix, XBMC, YouTube, and streaming content overall, that at one point during this lifetime, I actually went to Blockbuster with an ex-girlfriend.
It may not sound like a big deal to you, but my time with that woman was extremely special to me, and remembering this tidbit made me smile. It also makes me a little sad. I really do dislike the way we ended, and the fact that we completely lost contact. She stopped communicating with me after our breakup. But the memory makes me smile for many reasons, and being able to remember something like this means a lot to me.
Now if only I could remember what movie we watched and how that came about. I can’t remember much, but I do remember we went to Blockbuster.
