Sylvia Woods, Queen of Soul food passed away.

I remember the first time me and my wife saw Sylvia Woods’ face on a product at a local supermarket. Being the goofball I am I impersonated her pose and shouted “SYLVIA”.

Upon googling her we later found out that she had a restaurant here in Harlem. We agreed that we must go there, eat her cooking and get to meet her one day! Yet to this day we never made it.

I will always regret that we will never get to meet the genius queen of soul food, but I will still take my wife here one day and fulfill this plan while honoring her name.

Our deepest condolences and prayers  go out to the Woods family during this difficult time.

Angel.
