We were walking one day and saw one of the local homeless guys asking for 50 cents. I didn’t have any money on me but as we walked away I felt as I should do something to help. It was freezing and I thought he could use some food and drink to warm his belly.
I ran back and offered to buy him some food and a drink. He proceeded to tell me that he wasn’t really hungry and didn’t like subway as it wasn’t great. I told him I understood but that it was all I could offer as I didn’t have any cash.
He asked if they’ll let me get some cash back using my credit card or maybe my wife had some cash on her? I said they won’t do that cashback thing these days and that my wife wasn’t carrying any cash.
He said thanks that he appreciated me always trying to look out for him. I said no doubt and walked back to Chris and Peppa and continued on our way.
You’d think he’d take the meal and save it for later or something. I don’t know what’s up with that, all I know is that I tried to help and he didn’t want it.
