Reacher Series Review

I have watched Jack Reacher films before. I thought the ones with Tom Cruise were pretty damn good, so we decided to give this show a try.

I have not actually read any of the Reacher books though they are on my very long queue of reads I wish to complete. However, I did enjoy the films with Cruise and subsequently I enjoyed this amazon prime series.

My very first impression during the first episode left me thinking that it might be a little cheesy, but I kept going and it turned out to be a really good show. Alan Ritchson, the guy who plays Reacher is a freaking huge and a very admirable human specimen. As I mentioned before I haven’t read the books so I don’t know how he’s meant to look, but there is a huge difference between the Tom Cruise Reacher and the Alan Ritchson Reacher.

The storyline revolves around Reacher trying to find out what terrible things are happening in a very small town. He actually shows up there looking for his brother and stumbles across some pretty nasty business. I don’t want to drop any spoilers about this one as it is a relatively new series, but as always I will give you my personal recommendation.

Overall, I absolutely recommend watching the Reacher series on amazon prime. It was very enjoyable and once you actually get into it it’s pretty good.
